Common questions

Are you really open 24/7?

Yes. 24/7 Royal Locksmith answers around the clock, including nights, weekends and holidays. A working locksmith picks up, not an answering service, and the same ID and ownership checks apply at every hour.

How much will it cost?

It depends on the hardware, the situation and the time of day, so we do not post flat prices. You get a clear quote before any work starts and the total in writing before we begin.

How fast can you get to me?

We give you an honest arrival window on the call, based on where our van is and traffic that day. We will not promise a fixed number of minutes we cannot keep.

What do you need to see before opening a door?

Photo ID plus proof you own, reside at, or are authorized for the property or vehicle — a license, mail, a lease, or registration, for example. We verify this on every job.

Can you open my door without damaging the lock?

In most lockouts, yes. We use non-destructive methods first. Some high-security or already-failed locks cannot be opened cleanly, and we will tell you before doing anything that requires new hardware.

Can you make a key for any car?

We make keys for many makes on site, but not all. Some newer, luxury and European models need dealer-only equipment, and some all-keys-lost jobs require the dealer. We check your year, make and model and tell you up front.

Do you have to drill a safe to open it?

Sometimes. We try non-destructive methods first, but many modern safes are built so a lost combination means controlled drilling, which we then repair and reset. We tell you honestly which yours is likely to need.

Where are you based and what areas do you cover?

We are a mobile locksmith based in West Hills, CA, covering the west San Fernando Valley. Closer areas get the shortest drive times; we are honest about travel to the farther edges.

Are you licensed?

Yes. 24/7 Royal Locksmith is a licensed California Locksmith Company, regulated by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) under the California Locksmith Act. Our license number is LCO 7827, and you can verify it on the state license database at search.dca.ca.gov.

Do you charge extra at night?

Pricing depends on the job, not a hidden after-hours multiplier sprung on you later. Whatever the hour, you get the total in writing before we start.
